The film depicts a year in the life of Hilda Ha, a spirited and independent German woman. Rather than participating in large demonstrations like Fridays For Future, she quietly contributes to saving the planet by living off-grid with her one-and-a-half-year-old child in Southern Estonia. They reside in a self-built tiny house without water or electricity. While this lifestyle may seem extreme, for Hilda Ha, it's a natural choice that offers financial freedom—without utility bills or bank loans, there's no need for a traditional 9-to-5 job.
What sacrifices does she make for such a simple life? Conversely, what compromises must she make to engage with society? Hilda still uses a car to travel to the nearby city and shops at regular supermarkets, as she is practical and sees no need to go to extremes. Her goal is simply to create a happy life for herself and her child.
