"Creturs" is an award-winning debut feature film seeking its world premiere. Written, directed, and performed by Carrie King alongside her real family on their Pennsylvania farm, this deeply personal creature feature delves into the fears and anxiety of the unknown. Set against the backdrop of pandemic isolation, a Lancaster County farm becomes the entire universe for a fragile family striving to stay together. Utilizing elements of found footage and starring a real-life family on their own farm, "Creturs" blurs the line between fiction and reality, capturing the quiet unraveling of a home under pressure. When their young son discovers a cluster of otherworldly eggs and secretly nurtures them, his small act of hope clashes with a world already destabilized by fear and uncertainty. As the eggs hatch, the family must face not only a mysterious new lifeform invading their land but also the terrifying realization that they cannot fully control, protect, or preserve the life they’ve built. Intimate and poetic yet deeply unsettling, "Creturs" questions what kind of creatures we become when survival is no longer assured.

In her debut feature film "Creturs," Carrie King, who wrote, directed, and acts alongside her husband and two children, presents a deeply personal indie film crafted over five years on their family farm. The film weaves together intimate found footage with a cinematic narrative. As a current Master’s student in Art Therapy, her creative work is grounded in exploring how we process internal struggles through visual metaphor. She has also written and produced several short films and a wide range of commercial ma

rketing campaigns, and won a Broadway writing award for her short film script The Hunter.
