A Parable of Now

"A Parable of Now" (2026) is a three-channel visual poem with multiple interpretations. At its heart lies the theme of lost innocence and the environmental crisis we are leaving for future generations.

Cecelia Condit has exhibited her work internationally in festivals, museums, and alternative spaces. Her pieces are part of collections at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA, and the Centre Georges Pompidou Musee National d'Art Moderne in Paris, France. She was awarded the 2025 Anonymous Was A Woman Award and the 2024 Stan Brakhage Vision Award for expanding the boundaries of personal cinema. She has also received numerous festival awards and grants from the Ann Arbor Film Festival, John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, American Film Institute, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Mary L. Nohl Foundation. She resides in Minnesota.
